Does this sound familiar? Sometimes, looking for a scholarship you are eligible to apply for can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. The eligibility criteria are often quite tight and specific. It can be a disheartening process looking for something you can apply for.

So here’s a bit of light relief for you. Here is our top ten list of scholarships that are open to all students. Anyone can apply, whatever you are studying, where ever you are studying! Many of these come from America, however scholarships for UK students are available too. What is important to realise is that these scholarships are being created all the time. Ultimately, if you don’t keep your eye out for new scholarships, you will see that you could be missing out on a lot of money.

Some of the deadlines for these scholarships may have already passed for this year, but they will most likely be offered again next year. You can find more like this by selecting “Open to any University” as the Institution and “Open to any subject” as the course on the Funding Hub.

Funds4Uni Scholarship

This scholarship for UK students takes on UK citizens and either a current or prospective undergraduate or postgraduate student. You must be already studying at or applying to study at a UK university. In order to apply, you will need to register for a free Funds4uni account. You must have at least one confirmed donation in your Funds4Uni account, raised between 10th August and 31st October 2020. 

Video Contest Scholarship

Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students worldwide. You are required to submit a video on one of the topics given, in English. Worth $1,500

Driver Education Initiative

Open to students currently in sixth form, undergraduates or postgraduates during the academic year 2019/20. This scholarship is open to students from around the world. You are required to submit an essay on one of the subjects given around driver safety.

BeArt Presets Scholarship

Worth $5,000. Open to Yr13s who have accepted a place at university, current undergraduates and postgraduates. Applicants have to answer the question “How will a BeArt-Presets Academic Scholarship help achieve your education & career goals?”. Students worldwide are eligible to apply, however, you must be registered with an accredited university in your country.

Masters Compare Scholarship

This scholarship for UK students is also open to EU and international students. You must have submitted the course application and received an unconditional offer of a place on a part-time or full-time postgraduate Masters no later than 1 September. Worth £5,000

Pitch your Idea Scholarship

Worth up to $10,000 this scholarship is open to students from around the world in secondary school through to postgraduate level studies. Applicants have to submit a pitch for their big idea.

Money for Books Scholarship

This scholarship for students requires studying at an accredited UK university at either undergraduate or postgraduate level. 4 awards in the form of £250 book vouchers to pay for your textbooks.

Black Heart Foundation Scholarships

Scholarships are offered to students at any level of education, from primary school through to postgraduate study. They support students in the advancement of their education, where they might otherwise not have been able to do so.

GoTranscript Scholarship

Open to students in the last year of school or the first of university. Applicants have to submit a short personal statement. An essay on the following subject “Share a story about how language has helped you express your voice”.

MyUS Community Scholarship

Applicants enrolled at an officially recognised accredited college or university around the world are eligible. Having acceptance from your university minus the enrolment makes you eligible. This depends on your registration with the college or university. Applicants must write a 500-word essay detailing how self-reflection, introspection and community outreach have affected their choices in life. This must include what to study, which university/college to attend and which career they will pursue after graduation.
