Keyword search
As a member, you can now search the scholarships database by keyword. This will enable you to find specific scholarships which you might not otherwise find.
Example 1: Scholarships which are open to students from specific backgrounds or locations will be listed with the reason for the award as “personal circumstances”. Using the keyword search you can filter these down by searching “Hertfordshire” for example to make the results more relevant to you.
Example 2: Sports scholarships are listed as the reason for the award being “Sporting achievement” but if you are particularly good at rugby, you could do a keyword search on rugby and this will filter all the scholarships which specifically mention rugby.
Favourites
On the scholarships database you will see stars on the right hand column. If there is a particular scholarship you find that you are interested in applying for but you are not ready to do so yet, you can just click the star and this scholarship will be saved as a favourite.
Every time you run a scholarship search, if any of your favourite scholarships fall within that search’s parameters, it will appear first in your search results.
To bring up all your favourites in one go, visit your account homepage and you will see them all listed under the Favourites Tab.
Compare
In order to easily compare several different scholarships, add those you are interested in by clicking the Add to Compare button.
Once you have selected those you wish to compare, click the View Compare button, which should appear once you select your first one and this will show you the selection alongside each other so you can easily compare the differences and similarities between them.
