As the exam season draws to a close and you start to ponder how you might make some money over the summer, why not put aside a couple of days and spend some time applying for some scholarships. Here is a selection of opportunities which are offered by external organisations and are not tied to any particular university. Diamond Jubilee Scholarship
Entrants will need to have achieved 3 ‘A’ grades at A-level; must be embarking upon an IET accredited programme Honours course (that is not funded by the NHS). Worth £1,000 a year.
Rapid Formations Entrepreneur Scholarship Programme
Open to students who have secured a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate programme, whether full-time or part-time study, at a recognised higher learning institution in the UK; Demonstrable entrepreneurial attitude and leaderships skills; Clear evidence of the need for additional financial support. Worth £500
Discount Displays Scholarship
Open to any student enrolled at a UK college or university. Applicants are required to design a pop up stand that promotes the student’s relevant course and appeals to prospective students while taking into consideration the brand of their university. All entrants will be required to submit a short essay between 350-500 words that describes the inspiration behind their design and what they believe prospective students will get out of the course.
Spotcap Fintech Fellowship
Open to postgraduate students embarking on an MSc or MBA in a subject related to the Fintech industry, who have an interest in pursuing a career in this field. Worth £8,000
Pitch your idea Scholarship
Open to students from around the world in secondary school through to postgraduate level studies. Applicants have to submit a pitch for their big idea.
Global Study Awards
Worth up to £10,000 these awards are designed to encourage young people to study abroad as part of their tertiary studies in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the potential to contribute to society through their studies; a strong commitment to developing their career; a sincere interest in increasing intercultural understanding and exchange.
Open to students who have a confirmed place to study Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy or Nursing. Grants worth £100.
