Scholarships for Academic Excellence

scholarships for academic excellence

Many UK universities offer scholarships for academic excellence and this does not always have to be straight A*s. They are sometimes also called scholarships for academic achievement or for academic merit.

Some universities use these academic scholarships to attract the brighter students, and depending on the university concerned this will not always mean the top grades only. So if you have done well in your exams, it is always worth checking out what academic excellence scholarships you could be eligible to apply for. In fact, if you can’t decide between one university course or the other, a nice scholarship boost could be the deciding factor for you.

There are also many scholarships offered to postgraduate applicants who are expecting to do well in their undergraduate degree, offering scholarships for those who achieve a 2:1 or a First.

Here are some examples of the sort of scholarships for academic excellence you might find. If you have a strong academic record and expect to do well in your exams, you may want to take a look at some of these  scholarships based purely on academic achievement or potential.
