Women’s Careers Foundation
This is a very small charity with limited resources that offers grants to women. Applicants should be females over 21 years old (although younger applicants are considered if taking courses in music or dance) and must be a citizen of the United Kingdom. Closing date 31st January.

David Colegrave Foundation Student Scholarship
Five scholarships are available worth £1,000 each open to any students studying horticulture. Preference will however be given to candidates who have an interest in commercial and production ornamental horticulture. Closing date 31st January.

Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Main Scholarship
£1,000 a year open to students who want to study at least 66% (or 80 credits a year) of their degree courses through the medium of Welsh. Closing date 15th January

Entrance Scholarships & Merit Awards – Aberystwyth University
Applicants must sit an entrance exam on January 29th to be considered for these scholarships and awards, worth up to £2,000 a year. Applications forms must be submitted by 18th January.

Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship – Bristol University
Worth £1,500 a year, this scholarship is open to new applicants to the University, (except students studying for Music or Drama degrees). You must be able to demonstrate outstanding artistic, creative or sporting potential. Closing date 15th January
