Karen Kennard MCIM 

Karen has over 20 years marketing experience gained in a wide variety of settings, working in large blue chip companies, small start-ups and non profit organisations. Her career has included a 6 year period as Corporate Development Manager for Barnardo’s and she therefore has a good understanding and experience of working with companies to achieve marketing communications objectives through strategic sponsorships. Her career began working at the Times Higher Educational Supplement.

Iain Lopata

(acting in an advisory capacity on IT and business development)

Iain is an Information Technology expert with experience in delivering large scale, complex information technology projects. The breadth of his experience comes from working across many industries including automotive, merchant banking, insurance, financial markets, retailers and local and national government.

As Chief Architect for Accenture, a $16 billion dollar consulting company, Iain managed a worldwide organisation of approximately 1,000 people and conducted quality assurance reviews for the company’s most demanding client projects.

Currently based in Chicago, Iain acts as small business advisor for Chicago’s small business advice service SCORE. 

Frances Knox 

Frances has 20 years experience in PR and media relations.  Her work has encompassed working with governments including the Singapore High Commission and the Falkland Islands; non-governmental organisations; and top brands including Singapore Airlines and Twinings.   An honours graduate from Warwick University, Frances also holds a post-graduate business qualification in International Public Relations.  Frances has a  first class industry knowledge of traditional and new media, media relations, campaigns, events, crisis management, government affairs, strategic planning and profile raising activity.  She has worked with the Scholarship Hub since our founding in early 2013 and continues to offer advice and expertise.
